The Waitsfield Children’s Center is governed by a Board of Directors, made up of parents and interested community members. The Board meets monthly and is open to all parents and staff to attend. The Board has a maximum of 8 seats in addition to the Executive Director. 
                             
Throughout the year the Board forms various committees to work with the staff and parents on specific projects, such as a Budget Committee and a Review Committee or a Fundraising Committee.
Board Responsibilities (not limited to though) include:

• Establishing and reviewing policies, regarding WCC’s philosophy, programs, rates, operations, etc.
• Approving an annual budget and keeping the corporation fiscally viable.
• Plan fundraising events to supplement tuition income, seeking grants for programs, supplies, and activities with support from the Executive Director and teachers.

The board welcomes questions, praises and concerns regarding WCC’s operations from families. Parents should contact any Board member or attend a regular meeting to discuss any questions they may have. Parents looking to discuss a topic at a Board meeting should first contact the Chair of the Board to have their topic added to the meetings agenda.
