The Center accepts children from age 6 weeks up to 6 years old. The Infant and Toddler program serves children aged 6 weeks to approximately 2 years. The Preschool program serves children from approximately 2 years up to 6 years. Children may be enrolled on a full or part time basis (with a minimum of two (2) days enrolled).
Prior to your child’s first day at the Center, they must come for 2 or 3 pre-enrollment visits. These visits will range from 1-2 hours in length. We recommend one morning visit and one afternoon visit. The pre-enrollment visits give your child a chance to become acquainted with our facility, the teaching staff, and the other children who attend the Center. They also allow the teachers and the other children in our care an opportunity to begin to get to know your child.
Prior to enrollment parents must provide a completed admission form and a copy of their child’s vaccination records. Parents must also contract for specific days and times in advance and subsequent changes to the contracted days and hours are subject to availability and the Executive Director’s approval. If a family decides to withdraw from the program, for any reason, two (2) weeks paid advance notice must be given.
Our enrollment contracts are reviewed several times throughout the year; most changes occur in the spring and fall. Memos will be distributed for any schedule change requests and enrolled families will have the first opportunity to change schedules. Schedule changes are handled on a first come, first serve basis, subject to availability. Occasionally additional unscheduled days may be available, based on daily attendance, enrollment and space. Adding additional days is up to the discretion of the Executive Director. Parents will be charged accordingly for additional days attended. Additional days may not be used to replace already scheduled days.
When enrollment is full, families interested in upcoming available enrollment can have their information added to the Center “waitlist”. When space becomes available, the Executive Director will contact the families on the “waitlist” in the order that they were placed on the list. Enrollment openings are often limited to specific programs and age. Siblings of already enrolled children have enrollment priority.
The Center reserves the right to terminate services, when circumstances warrant, as determined by the Executive Director and the governing Board of Directors.
