The Waitsfield Children's Center Welcomes New Assistant Director & Teacher, Rachel Bolduc! February 4, 2020 The Waitsfield Children's Centers' Board of Directors is excited to welcome Rachel Bolduc to the role of Assistant Director and teacher in the toddler classroom in February 2020. "We are thrilled to welcome Rachel to the Children's Center team. Her skills and passions clearly align with the mission and vision of WCC. As AD, Rachel will support and complement the strengths and visioning that Jenny Carlson, our Executive Director has laid out for us. And she joins an incredibly strong team of teachers we feel so fortunate to have. We couldn't be more excited about the future." said Board Chair, Allison Borchers.
Bolduc comes to WCC with 15 years' experience in early childhood education having taught all age groups from birth to 5 years. She enjoys learning from her students and watching them grow as they explore the world together. Her personal teaching style is Reggio Emilia inspired through a play based natural learning environment. Rachel has her Child Development Associate Credentials and Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate, as well as years of experience designing spaces and curriculum to meet the needs and inspire the children in her classes.In her personal time Rachel loves pottery, anything creative, bargaining/re-purposing, camping, nature and spending time with family and friends. “Rachel’s teaching style and creativity was an inspiration to me when I first started my career in Early Childhood Education. Working together again is going to be a wonderful next chapter for WCC.” said Executive Director, Jenny Carlson.
As AD and Maples class teacher Bolduc will be responsible for enhancing WCC’s play-based natural curriculum. In particular, promoting the development and planning of a new playground space, garden and outdoor classroom.
